    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    Long ago, houses were not made as they are to day. Instead of the stone wall they made their walls of mud and small stones mixed through the mud. They also built their houses in a hollow, to prevent them from storms. There was also a hole in the roof to let the smoke out.
    The fire was generally in the middle of the floor. They had a very long kitchens. Their beds were different to the beds we use to-day. There were a wooden structure which they called a couch. A "settle bed" served as a bed at night and a seat in the day.
