    There are no tailors in this district, but there is one in Riverstown. He always works at home. His name is John Flaherty.
    The tailor in Riverstown only stocks patterns but there are others who have cloth. The cloth is not spun or woven locally. All the clothes are made from cloth bought in shops. When at work a tailor uses an iron, a sewing machine, a needle, a thimble, and a tailor's "goose."
    Very many shirts are made by the women in this district. Flannelette and poplin are used in making shirts. On long winter nights women, and young girls spend their nights in knitting socks and stockings and jumpers. Two people in this district spin, one is Mrs Brehony and the other is Mrs Mc Manus.
