    that to identify this church is to identify the burying place of the chiefs who fell in the great battle of Keash.
    Those princes instead of being buried on the battlefield were carried religiously to the Church and there deposited in one and the same grave, they having laen together at rest for over 1000 years. This churchyard of Toomour is nearly deserted as a burying place, there being only one or two families continuing to bury in it. Templevany though a later foundation is at present chief cemetery of the district (Prior to the reformation the Church and the poor were well provided for in the district 2114 acres of church land in
