- Travelling people do not come to this district but they did in former times. They were very poor,
They hardly ever sold anything. These "travellers" were generally welcome and were commonly known as beggars. They seldom remained for longer than a night in the same house. They slept in a corner on hay or in a good outhouse. They did not carry provisions for more than a day.
