    priest who went with him to the spot where he was to meet the stranger. When they got to the appointed spot, the stranger came towards the young man, but this time he was in the shape of the devil, with cloven hooves etc. The priest made a ring around him with his crucifix and holy water. Every time the stranger made a grab for the young man the priest prayed and sprinkled more holy-water. At last the stranger gave up the attempt and gave a roar which was heard for miles around. He disappeared through the ground, and in that place there is a great hollow and to this day it is called The "Devils Hollow".
