    They are a gallant corps.
But other earth denies their birth,
    Unless like slaves they fawn,
'neath Saxon laws - which is the cause
    O'Keefe fled Meensquane.
May God above that ordained love
    Be e'er your guiding star
And guide you free to Victory
    That treachery can't mar
For on honour's roll a nobler soul
    With honour never shone
Than Pat O'Keefe that darling chief
    The foremost of his clan.
May fortune while around your smile
    Where e'er your footsteps roam
And steer your barque safe to New York
    To meet a happy home!
May joy and peace each day increase
That on your life does dawn
And may we meet to have a treat
    Once more at Meensquane
