“My grandfather told me about the rock at a place called Meenaguishaugh...”
My grandfather told me about the rock at a place called Meenaguishaugh near our house where Mass used to be celebrated at the time of Cromwell. The rock is still called "Carraig an Aifrinn" and the field is called "Páirc an t-Sagairt". It is on the top of a hill by the side of a ditch. There are three steps in it just the same as any Altar. There was a small thatched school near it and there was only one teacher in that school by the name of Tim O Donoghue. Many priest come to see the rock.
