“Many old stories have been handed down to us about Saint Patrick's journeying through this country.”
Many old stories have been handed down to us about Saint Patrick's journeying through this country.I got this story from a friend of mine who came on a visit to our house last night. When Saint Patrick was travelling through Aughnamullen East a fish called the eel bit him He prayed that an eel might never be seen in Lough Eagish lake. According to the old people of the locality from whom I have sought information on this question this class of fish has never been seen in this lake.- Collector
