- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)storm like the other one. It fell steadily and calmly. The next morning when the people opened the doors they could not see out because the snow was higher than the door-heads. They were obliged to shovel pathways to the wells, to the shops and to the chapel. Crowds of men were to be seen shovelling the roads to Ballybay. The snow lasted until the 17th of March. Farmers were to be seen shovelling the snow into the headlands on the 18th of March in order to prepare for the ploughing.
