Ar an leathanach seo
- The birds common to this district are the robin, thrush, blackbird, crow, hawk, sparrow, chaffinch, magpie, stone-chat, tom-tit, yellowhammer wren and wag-tail. The swallow, cuckoo and corn-crake are seen here in summer but they migrate.
We hear the cuckoo & corncrake when the blades of corn begin to appear and the swallows soon arrive then. Every year the same cuckoo & corncrake seem to come to he same spot. People say if you look under your foot when you hear the first song of either and see a grey hair that you will live to be a ripe old age, and if you hear either of them fasting that you won't live to hear them the following year.
