   In this district some years ago there lived a man who made his living by working in a corn mill. In his early years he had the misfortune to fall down some steps in the mill, while carrying a bag of meal. As a result of the fall the man had a lump on his back to the end of his days, and he was well known in his own and surrounding districts.
   Well, all things come to an end and so did the man's life. The neighbours, men and women, gathered into the house for the wake. In those days, people, not all of them,, went to wakes for the sake of having a bit of fun. The funny boys turned into this wake too.
   Now in order to keep the corpse lying in the bed, it had to be strapped down. The women who had come in had been sitting in the room and after awhile were taken to the kitchen. Then the men came in and among them the playboys. They did not content themselves to sit very long at rest for they soon loosed the straps on the corpse and tied it down with a string.
