- There were many poets around this part of the county in olden times and there are even some poets living in the district presently.
One famous poet of this district was a landlord of Bondville named Arthur Bond. People say he was a good kind landlord who was never hard on the poor people. He was very proud of his son "Young Arthur" who was a great horseman. He made two songs about this boy. The following song I heard from Mrs Woods of Bondville Tynan Co Armagh who is seventy five years or more.My age is eighteen
