Andrew Kerins worked on the new-line Pat Muldoon on the Cloonkeavy road and Mick Davey on the Carrowkeel road. They are men of about sixty five years
It is usually the custom that at every cross-roads all the boys gather on Sundays and evenings of the week and amuse themselves. There are not many by-ways in this district but there is one leading from our place to Emlaghnaghten school and another leading to Carrowreagh bridge in the track of an old road that was there long long ago
