which to repair it. I left Urlingford at about half past nine at night. Being in a hurry back to the house where I was threshing I took a short cut which led through the Fort of Tincashel. Immediately after entering the Fort I was surrounded by a bright light and heard the most beautiful music. Without knowing how I had entered I found myself in a hall in which a number of people were dancing. Some of these people I had known to have died years before. I was been persuaded to take of some refreshments. When to my astonishment my long diseased wife appeared through the door of another aparthment and made signs to me not to pertake of anything that was offered to me. Whilst pertending to enjoy music with the gay throng she managed to whisper to me not to eat or drink anything on any account. After some time they stopped trying to persuade me to eat or drink and in a short time I found myself lying on the green grass of the Fort with the stars shining down on me and no sign of life whatever.
