Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)fallen a victim to the Grave-yard Bride. He also states that another man in the same parish (Errigal Truagh.) declared that he gave the promise and the fatal kiss and consequently looked upon himself as lost. He took a fever, died, and was buried on the day appointed for the meeting which was exactly a month from that of the interview
The friends of these two persons solemnly declared - especially those of the young man - that the particulars of the meeting were detailed repeatedly by the two persons without the slightest variation.
It appears also that the spectre did not confine its operation to to the church-yard only. There have been instances mentioned of its appearance at weddings and dances where it never failed to secure its victims.
