- The crow makes a very nice nest. She gets sticks and puts them in her beak and lays them crossways between the branches. Then she puts mud in it to keep it firm. Then she puts soft grass and wool in it. She lays four eggs they are blue with little black spots on them.
- A kingfisher builds in a nest in a long hole in a bank like a rat hole down nearly touching the water. Four or five eggs are laid and green is the colour of the eggs.
