- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)They had pity for him. When the boy was leaving the man of the house called him and said "I will give you three dogs. Their names are "Hear well", "Run well" and "Amil (?) head". So he took the dogs and set off. He got work with a farmer. The farmer was very rich and had a lot of horses so the job he gave the boy was training horses. One day when the boy was out with the dogs he saw a black dog coming. When he came near Runwell caught him and Hearwell held him and Amil head pucked him. Then they let him go. That night the black dog came back to the farmer's wife and told her that he would give her a bag of gold if she could persuade the boy to leave the dogs at home with her.
Next morning when he was going out..(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
