There are two forges, in my locality, not being used. One is in Rathbride and its late owner was named Michael Forde. The other is at Whylam Cross and its late owner was James Fields. - There is a forge in my district. Mr Fitzgerald is the blacksmith and Mathew Whelan is an assistant. The forge is situated at the cross-roads of Allen, Barony of Connell. It is made of concrete and roofed with asphalt. The door of the forge has no special shape it is just oblong.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
