- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)and that a woman washed her clothes in it. Then the well ran dry and next day it sprung up where it is now.
There is a lovely scenery around the well. It consists of a lake, and a wood on both sides of it.
Also there is a flat stone on top of four other stones and a person with a backache should go out under it three times. They are then cured.
People leave things at the well such as material, crosses and statues. There is a money box at the well called the poor box. People generally put in money to the box to help to repair the grounds.
The well is pailed in with iron railings so as to keep cattle or beasts from going in and destroying the grounds and drinking the water.
People living near the well use the water for household purposes.
The well was nicely fixed these last years.- Bailitheoir
