- Long ago in Ireland before there were any doctors, the people used the dandelions to cure many diseases. It is said to be able to cure dropsy, and all sorts of kidney trouble.
In Spring when yellow flowers come out on the plant they are pulled off. They are then soaked in water for three days and wine made out of them.
It is then left for a few weeks in bottles for a few weeks before it can be used.- Informant
