(1)In the first all the girls stood in a ring holding hands. They recited a ring holding hands. They recited a poem -
"Round the gray gravel the grass grows green",
Many a lady is fit to be seen,
Washed in milk, dressed in silk,
Last coats down"
The one who ducked last was to give a forfeit.
(2) In "My Lord Luke," two leaders stood a little apart, the other girls going in a procession through them, reciting,
"My Lord Luke and My Lord John
"Let them all pass by but the very last one
The last one was held and stood behind one of the leaders. The next time, the one "caught" stood behind the other girl(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
