- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)"Hop Scotch" was generally played on the roadway with a piece of wood or a stone for a marker.
Two kinds were played. In one case the marks were spiral going gradually around bigger from a centre. Each number was in its own division, and the marker started from the centre and standing on one foot, knocked the marker forward with the toe of the foot on the ground.
If the other foot touched the ground the player had to start again.
{There are two drawings - 1 of the Hop Scotch Spiral, and one of a Corners grid}In "Corners" five girls played. Four had "corners", making the four corners of a square. A fifth stood in the middle and tried to get a corner while the others changed places with each other.
