- At the time of the body-snatchers there lived in Ferrybank a man named "Micil" Twomey. "Micil" guarded Slieverue grave-yard every night. He often boasted that though he was a small man he did not fear ghosts.
One night at almost 12 o'clock he heard a rattle of chains. All the courage left him. He ran till he reached the lamp which was at the top of Ferrybank. The noise followed him. So great was "Micil's" terror that he leant against the lamp-post for support. Then came a jennet (came) into the light. A neighbour named Mrs. Kelly owned the jennet. She had a piece of chain around her hoof. So it happened that a poor jennet gave "Micil" the greatest fright of his life.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
