Since writing in the above I have heard that this rhyme appeared in one of out Kilkenny papers and therefore should not be given in a folk-lore collection. - About fifty years ago there lived in the southern end of the parish of Ballyhale a man named Giles Anderson. he was a mason and was well known as a local poet as were many of his ancestors. Though many of the rhymes were rather silly and are now forgotten some of them have lived on.
