The cream comes out in one pipe and the milk comes out another pipe at the opposite side. This has to be done morning and evening until we have sufficent cream together to give us our weeks butter supply. The cream is then put into the churn which has beaters inside that turn as you twist a handle that is fixed on the outside. After about thirty minutes churning the cream comes into butter. Then the butter has to be taken out of the churn and placed in a large pan. It has to get serveral washings with spring water until it is clear of all the butter milds milk. It is then salted and made up into one pounds or two pounds rolls. There are wooden patties used for the purpose of making up and washing the butter so(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
