The nests of the thrushes and blackbirds are found in bushes. Sparrows' and swallows' build their nests in the eves of houses. The corncrake chooses a quiet place in tall grass to lay her eggs. The 'robins' nests are fashioned from moss and lined with cow's hair. The blackbird and thrush prefer hay which they mak firm with mud. The swan's nest is made of weeds and water grass.
