  1. Friday is supposed to be an unlucky day. if a person is recovering from illness it is not considered lucky for him to get up on a Friday. It is lucky to be sick on Sunday because "Sunday's sickness is Monday's wellness". If is not lucky to move from one house to another on a Friday. Wednesday is considered the luckliest day of the week to get married.
    On Monday morning people sweep the floor from the door in towards the hearth "to keep in the luck for the week". On Saturday night they sweep the dirt out through the door to sweep away the bad luck. It is not considered lucky "to let out money" on a Saturday If a person asked for a pennyworth of anything in a shop on a Saturday morning and presented a pound note in payment, the shopkeeper would change the pound for him keeping a penny out of it, as this is supposed to bring him in money for the day.
