- (continued from previous page)many crocks of gold in the castle at that time. Many years ago a man was looking for cattle, and noticed a slight rise on top of the mound. He procured a spade. He started digging and after a while he unearthed what appeared to be a large pot. On breaking it he found it full of gold. But it is said he had no luck after. Old people say that there is gold there yet.
- Some time ago there was a man called Pat Kelly in this Parish of Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan. He used be dreaming of Hidden Treasure. One night he dreamt that there was a crock of gold in Bernard Conon's field in Knockreaghs, Co. Monaghan. He arose early the next morning and set out on his journey.
