Ar an leathanach seo
- A spit is a thing shaped like a wheel. It has a rim and spokes like a wheel and is made of iron. People used it long ago for roasting meat. There is a hole in the centre of it. There is a screw in the hole and a chain out of it to hang it over the fire. You would have to give it a push round to keep it turning. They used to put a plate under it to catch the grace.
It is a foot in diameter.

We never used it but mother told me about it. I found it in my own garden a year ago.- Bailitheoir
