Sometimes when felons came on peoples fingers it was cured with a small green shrub called rhue and a herb called felon grass. The rhue and felon grass were chopped up together and mixed with boiling grease made from lard. Some old women in the district made ointment for burns and scalds out of herbs such as daisies and primroses leaves and dandelion and ribbon grass.
The old people had a cure for sore throats. It was to burn salt and put it in a stocking and lap it around(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
