In the Glebe there is a little lane. On it are the remains of a limekiln. One time when the yeomen were in Ireland a woman and her baby hid in this limekiln. One day yeomen entered the limekiln and seeing the baby and its mother. He stuck his spear through the baby and showed it to the mother. The descendants of that man always had bad luck.(gan teideal)
“Long ago there lived in Windsor a poet named John Dooley. ...”
Long ago there lived in Windsor a poet named John Dooley. Here is one of his poems. You men and maids who range those groves
I pray you now draw near,
Whose heart was ever caught in love
Or burden with care
Come sit you on those primrose banks
to hear a lovesick swaying
Whose going to part now from his dear to never meet again.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
