    7. In former times, a pattern used to take place to St Kierans Well, situated about 6 mile from the village of Errill, and about 1/4 of a mile from Errill School. This well was supposed to have certain healing properties. Any person suffering from diseases of the eye, who took part in the pattern, and prayed to the Saint, was immediately cured.
