2. There was believed to be a special cure in a female dog's lick, for ulcers and chilblains.
3. The food left by a ferret, is a certain cure for Thrush.
4. The ashes of a burned hawthorn stick was believed to be a cure for burns.
5. A poultice of roasted onions, mashed up was a cure for Bronchitis.
6. An old remedy for Bleeding from the nose was to place a bunch of keys down the back.
7. In former times, a pattern used to take place to St Kierans Well, situated about 6 mile from the village of Errill, and about 1/4 of a mile from Errill School. This well was supposed to have certain healing properties. Any person suffering from diseases of the eye, who took part in the pattern, and prayed to the Saint, was immediately cured.
8. When the people of this locality were churning, they always sprinkled Holy Water in the Cream before commencing. If any person happened to come into(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
