Unbaptized children are buried in Catholic graveyards in this district, and there are unbaptized children buried in Errill graveyard.
In the vicinity of the old graveyard there is a tree called St. Kieran's Tree, and whenever a person passes this tree they always bliss themselves, or make a genuflection. When a funeral is passing it always stands for a few minutes. This tradition is carried on many long years.
