I heard the following story from my father James King (56 yrs) Labourer Moyne Durrow.
My father told me that there are two treasures hidden in Moyne so here is the story about one of them.
In the year 1641 before the Stabblen family came into this place a man by the name of Stubber who was Governor of Galway told his servant on a Sunday to carry two jars full of gold sovereigns and when they had them buried, Stubber asked his servant would he mind it, dead or alive and he said he would so he is minding it to the present day.
