Ar an leathanach seo

    that on passing the church he refused to serve the mass for St. Fintan, and in punishment he met his death. The legend has been set forth in verse by John Keegan the Laoighis poet who lived close by.
    There is also in Cromogue a well called St. Fintan's well. It is located in a pretty enclosure on the roadside, and is visited all the year round by persons in search of cures of which there have been some instances.
    St. Fintan's feastday, the 17th February is a day of special devotion in the parish of Raheen. Nobody tackles a horse for the purpose of working on that day.
    Tradition says that water taken was taken from St. Fintan's well in Cromogue across the bog and dropped in the middle of the bog where a well sprung up. It is also suppose to have dropped in the heart of a tree and formed a well in Clonenagh.
