Ar an leathanach seo
- People began to wear boots at different ages in our district. Some did not wear them until the age of twenty and others wore them at the age of ten. There are accounts of people who wore neither boots nor shoes. Children still go bare-foot in Summer but not in winter. It was not counted lucky in olden times to throw out the water they washed their feet with. People used to throw it behind the fire or under the grate.Boots are made and repaired locally. There are two shoe- makers in the district.It has been a tradition in their families for about fifty years.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
