Some industries were carried on in this district in former times which are now discontinued
Candle-making was one of the industries carried out in the district.
Rushes were dipped and used as light instead of candles. Baskets were made from straw
A great many things were made in forges in former times such as gates ploughs fire-cranes, and other farm implements
The spinning of thread was also carried out in the district.
Some dyeing were also carried out and also some thatching was done but no ropes were made.
No tanning of leather or whip making was carried out in the district
Barrels and churn making and nail making were also carried out but no pottery work was done
