Candle making was carried on by a man named John Cook who resided in the present house of Mr. J. Dodd, Main St. This man manufactured tallow candles, dipped candles and resin candles.
Bhrog Making:
Bhrog making was another old craft carried on in the neighbourhood of Boyle. It was carried on by a man named Pat Scanlon who resided where Mr. J. Hughes lives at present in Easkey.
All these industries of Boyle are now finished but the desceendants of the tradesmen are still living.- Collector
