18. Sore eyes:- Bathe the eyes with very strong cold tea night and morning.
19. Whooping Cough:- A cure for whooping cough is - the patient is to be put three times under the legs of a mare ass and three times over her back and be given three sips of her milk to drink.
20. Raw beef applied as poultice to a bruise which is inclined to blacken is supposed to prevent this.
21. Bathing with vinegar is also supposed to prevent blackening and discolouration.
22. Vinegar Punch:- Vinegar, hot water and sugar taken as hot as possible is a cure for a cold and cough.
23. Buttermilk heated and having sugar and a lump of butter mixed with it is also a cure for cold.
