    Mr. Wm. Scanlon, Emlaroyan, Donamon told me that he dug down and reached the flag floor on sight of supposed monastery. He also discovered many bones and skulls on or near this sight.
    Mr. Scanlon states that the old people pointed out the sight of the gardens and orchards etc. attached to this building.

  2. There are many clay forts in the surrounding townlands.
    Local tradition says that the gold is hidden at the fort in Mr J Breheny's land in Ballydooley
    It must only be sought whilst people are at Mass.
