- Oh; holy Oran most sacred spot,
To visit you was a happy lot,
To see that place of emblazoned fame,
With the Hallmark of St. Patricks name. On history's pages it does appear
That St. Patrick had laboured here,
There is evidence of it, I must truly tell
I've stood and prayed at St Patricks well.By the road- side on rocky ground
A statue facsimiles to St. Patrick is found
The Rocks around it look old and grey
'Neath the holy water rise and ebb away.People old, infirm, stalwort and gay'
Assemble at Oran Garland Sunday
And barefooted pilgrims go round the well
Unknown to each other tales of sorrow tell. They pray to St Patrick in trouble or need.
They ask him for favours and for them to plead
To keep them in health thro life that may trod
The straight road to heaven leading to God. All in silent devotion around the well pass
Rosary beads in hands praying en mass.(continues on next page)- Informant
