- Miss Maypother lived in Kiltevan and she died about five or six years ago.She was a descendant of a Maypother family who lived in the Penal Days. One of her ancestors was a Catholic and she married a Protestant man. Near where she was living a priest used to say Mass every morning, and she used to attend Mass every morning and one morning her husband followed her but he stayed a certain distance from where Mass was said.
