    mill. If the man was grinding since in the mill he could not break the case. When he was tired from grinding it he asked Jack what kind of a case was it. So Jack told him that the devil was inside in it, and that it was a magic case. Then Jack had earned two pounds. He then went on to a man whose wife was dead, and the man asked to stay that night with him. Jack was glad to think he had some place to stay that night. During the night the man was telling him how he had another house, but that anyone could not sleep in it with the lonesome. Jack said to the man that he would stay in the house that night. Jack also had a magic cane with him. Then he started telling Jack what he would see in the house. Jack told him
