- I heard a story been told by an old man about taking butter. There were people in Kerry whose calves died for five years. They used try every plan to keep the calves alive but it was a failure. They could make no butter or could not drink the milk after putting it into the churn.It was like that for five years, and one night they heard a cow bellowing in the cabin. The man went out, and he left a boy and a girl in the house after him. He closed the door on them, and while he was out the door opened. They shut the door, and after a while it opened again.
