- There was once three brothers who were very poor. They consulted one day to work very hard at the turf and when they would have a lot of money they would buy a horse. When they had a lot of money, two of them went to the fair and bought the horse and they were very pleased at the bargain. One of them looked at him before they went to bed and he told the other two brothers that the horse was not chewing the cud. They were very troubled. A neighbour told them that any horse does not chew the cud.
