- The Launey comes tumbllling down from the hills
Swelled in both sides with fine murmuring rills
And as it flows yonder by Hardings old mills
What a beautiful curve has its waters
Its deep pebble channel has never run dry
Of spring it has got such a constant supply
A district more rich is not under the sky
As that fine Pleasant Valley of Launey. When visitors come to this beautiful place
Anxious for sport or to join in a chase
There are beautiful moorland abounding with game
The huntsman and fowler to charm
They have stacks in their haggards and grand stacks of hay.
They dress in apparel both costly and gay
They have for their breakfast bread, butter and tay
In the fine Pleasant Valley of LauneyOn the banks of that river so verdant and green
Many numerous herds of fine cattle be seen
While trout in great numbers do swim in that stream
On a fine summer's eve if you saw them(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
