About a mile farther south is another hole, "Poll na Carraige" so called from a rock that is close to it.
"Leadamhuillin", the townland in which I live, got its name from the mill, which was there long ago in the lands now owned by Patrick Duggan. It was used by the local people for grinding corn. - Many years ago when there were no creameries, there was a churn in every farm, for making butter, a large amount of which was sold. Up to a few years ago we had a small one, which was about two feet high, and one foot wide at the top. It was in use for five or six years.
