- Wheat is grown largely throughout the United States, Canada and Russia as the climate of those countries are suitable for its growth.
Long ago Ireland grew as much wheat as supported her own country but as the soil and climate was not very suitable and sometimes it used not be good as it used not grow and foreign wheat was imported at a much lower price than the cost of producing it in this country consequently wheat growing nearly disappeared altogether in this country.
A few years ago the government introduced the growing of wheat and gave the people ever encouragement and is(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
