  2. Wedding-Day Customs

    The custom is to have the bridegroom go to the bride's house to convey her to the chapel. Then the bride goes first and leads the procession to the chapel and the man brings up the rear.
    Before the bridal pair leave the people would fling an old shoe after them for luck. for that was the old custom. Also when the married pair came out of the chapel the people throw rice on them. When the married pair are going home they go in the same car.
    Now it is all motor cars that are used at weddings.
