- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)there was a Cill. Not far from that there was a Coast-guard station long ago. There is none of that there now. Near Mr O Mahony's house there is a fort. It is an earthen one. There is only one wall around it. There is a doorway in the eastern side. This fort is very near the sea and from that Mr O Mahony's house is called 'Seafort'.There is a pier in the north side. From this pier a lot of wheat was exported in days gone by. The wheat was dried in a Kill convenient to the pier. The ruins of this are still to be seen. Mr Brown was the name of the man who owned the land and bought the wheat exportation. It is said that a priest once visited his house to enquire about a Catholic workman he(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
